Sad songs

Hello my friends. Monday again, followed by sad songs from the North. Well they are not sad, just melancholic.
I realize you are still with me. You are from all continents. China and Japan, USA, and sometimes a letter tick in my mailbox from south Africa. If I was feeling better, I would love to answer them all. From my heart.

But there are more.
After I got ill, some Norwegian friends joined my opera, to keep in touch with me .Not all of them commented on my writing,they were scared of using their English, but wanted to know how are things going. How are you unni. They followed my journey through my first chemo, they came close and I felt my friends were there for me.
One of them was Marianne, or actually two Marianne. I used to work with one of them. So when Leonrad Cochen sings his ”So long Marianne”, I long for her.Won’ t you come over to sit by my window. We will do that in heaven, Marianne.
The other Marianne was reading through my first book manus. She put trust in me, encouraged by her, I I dedicated the book to her. The next one will be be written in heaven. So long Marianne.

I want to thank you for stepping by. Knowing that you were here, reading my fiction and my personal posts, kept me going. There are some times in life we need to say ’so long’.

Even when your at your lowest,I read hope in your words and I don't want to say so long,so i won't lol,there are no goodbyes with me,somewhere inside me will be a little piece of you floating around and influencing my thoughts,telling me not to give up and learn norwegian lol and read your lol my books,smile and remember the good times,and songs sad or happy mean all that is good within us,take it away Elton......

You have touched your friends forever. Where ever they live. Here in Cape Town, South Africa, there are many beautiful things which make me think of you.
I was walking down by the river again and saw some brightly coloured flowers standing out tall above the spread of green growth. They were bright yellow and bright red and mixed yellow and red.
Things of great beauty like that, remind me of you.

Music one of the constants that keeps us grounded and what we use to remember things through out our lives,one of the 1st teachers of life and what can happen and will happen no matter how hard we try to not fall into the traps life has for us,the words are the most important thing followed by a tune which will haunt us all our life,an old friend a smile and a quick sing along.A surprise and i've not heard this for years and how do they think up all these great songs....
