Liferay, Java, Portals, Project X
Successfully cofigured, implemented, and deployed the Liferay Portal today. i am a happy camper. Took a bit of tinkering but it was well worth the experience of learning the different requirements of completing such a task. i am currently "toying" around with it; learning more about portlets (and consequently, portlet development), the different applications that can be run from within the portal, and how to provide access to them, etc. There is quite a bit to learn and become familiar with. Major things going on over here. Project X is going to be somthing else.

Project X, Social Networks
At long last, Project X is finally officially underway. i know that it took some time to breathe life into it, but there were (still are) many thing to work out; esp. from a logistical standpoint. At any rate, i configured the server last night and have begun the process of the initial site configuration. There is still tons of things to do but it will be well worth it. Additionally, i have to juggle other responsibilities as well. More to come...

Perquiro, Semantic Web, Project X, Social Networks
Gotta take a little time out to work on a new CMS project. Still pushing along with the other things on the table. Have not begun work on the Perquiro DB, but i have recruited some help to do some of the work -- maybe mostly front-end stuff; i hate that crap. At any rate, that's where it is. Several projects to work on, should keep me busy for a little while. Starting to feel really excited about Project 'X' once again; beginning to get the feeling that it will be a huge success. We will see.

Perquiro, Project X
Work has officially begun on the Perquiro & Project 'X' projects. There were some questions that needed to be addressed and answered before deciding to (or how to) go forward before makiing a decision. With those questions out of the way we are officially on the board. There is no official deadline with either project, as they will require countless hours of work in an on-going fashion. i will however, post frequent updates to keep you all posted.

Project X
After taking some time away to work on other things, it is time to get back on track with Project 'X'. It has been put off for some time now, due to the aforementioned 'other things' but more importantly because of the necessity to carry out a re-analysis of the infrastructure that is necessary for a project of this type and the best approach to making it a successful entity.
More on this later.

Project X, Social Networks
The web is more a social creation than a technical one. I designed it for a social effect — to help people work together — and not as a technical toy. The ultimate goal of the Web is to support and improve our weblike existence in the world. We clump into families, associations, and companies. We develop trust across the miles and distrust around the corner.

Project X
Project X is beginning to make some waves as we get closer to bringing it to fruition. i have solved the issue that kept returning errors -- log4j & jdom -- packages do not exist. Simply required a manual pointing to the jars on the classpath in NetBeans. The next step now is to get it setup and running on a live server and begin a series of tests. Hopefully everything will go well with the tests, but i am pretty certain that it will. There are still a lot of things to get right and exact before we even get anywhere close to a deployment. For right now it is just testing, testing, and more testing.
