ISEA Acceptance

Juried art show, Shelton WA, P249, ISEA, acceptances

The 2011 ISEA Juried Show and Symposium is soon coming. The juror's results have been mailed out, and this piece of mine was accepted. This is my second, of three needed for signature status. I was very excited when I found out about it. The show will be in Shelton, Washington. And will be hanging from June 1 through June 30, 2011. For further information about ISEA look here.

Thank you very much, Richard. It really was an experimental piece--I had no idea what would happen when I poured some mixed leftover paint on the piece of paper. This piece was totally untouched with a brush.

That contributes to extraordinary textures you see. Others might have discarded such a work - you saw the beauty, so you deserve all the kudos!

And I have had no luck in finding anyone in my area who has experience with it. Merle this is Fabulous work & can see why it was Accepted.
I am always Loving Photography but lately I've been alot more interested in Art!!
I am not a Great Drawer but have a very Creative Imagination so how do I Start???

Thank you very much Kelisha. Check online for workshops and courses in Watercolor in your area. There you can learn the basics of using paint and paper. And then and always, read, read all you can get your hands on regarding abstract and realistic painting.

Abstract painting is generally harder to do than realistic where you have a photograph or an object in front of you to follow. With abstract (non-representational) painting it all comes from your head, with the knowledge of design, paint and paper characteristics and a good imagination.

Abstract painting Sounds like my Sort of Thing as it all comes from Your Head & I have Quite a Creative Imagination.

I couldn't find the Photo that's Similar to Yours the one with "Car Trails" I may have Deleted the Original Unfortunately!! I have posted up a New Daily Photo album up on my Photo Album Page & I am going to Transfer it over to my Blog soon Tonight "Photo Art - A Diary of my Imagination's Best Work" so Check it out when You get a Chance as There are some Interesting Textured Filtered Photos & also Landscapes shot with my Nikon Coolpix Camera.
