The second part

Well I said I would post again before the week was out; so I'll do it now before I go and do some of that dreaded work.
Firstly there have been a few songs released recently by chart based pop artists which have been quite good, including Embers by Just Jack, Shake It by Metro Station, Jai Ho! by A.R. Rahman and Don't Upset the Rhythm by the Noisettes. I usually don't get interested in this stuff but Radio One's Live lounge has certainly sold these artists to me, its good stuff. Another good song that came from the live lounge is Pendulum's cover of Coldplay's Violet Hill
As well as buying those individual songs I've also bought Auch Männer sind Menschen by Brunner & Brunner and Kan Jy My Hoor by a Dutch Just Jack (I was pretty surprised I have to say). As well as obtaining this small collection of individual songs, my brother bought Fightstar's new EP, Mercury Summer. We both really enjoy it and he's looking forward for their album to come out later this month. There's a good electronic mix of Mercury Summer on the EP which my brother hates but I think it's excellent
. So if you're into Fightstar it's worth getting (I can't really compare them to any other artists as I've not branched out there yet sorry).
Finally, my library on shuffle. Wow. I used to hate listening to my music on shuffle as I would listen to certain albums over and over again and get used to what songs came after what, and my brain would start thinking of the next song as the previous one came to a close. However because I've been less engrossed in indivdual albums I've decided to try the shuffle feature on iTunes (and any other media player for that matter). It's ace hearing songs I've either rarely listened to, barely heard before or songs that I used to listen to a while ago and grown bored of. It's so nice to switch from u-Ziq, to Boards of Canada, to Stars of the lid, to Red Hot Chilli Peppers, to Enigma, to Alphaville and so on and so forth. Having a diverse music collection really helps to, keeps the mind clear and open
