About the Blue Star, Some FAQ's, Rules

INTRODUCTION
The Blue Star is a group that spotlights photographic treasures discovered within the Opera Community and "tagging" the photograph with a Blue Star indicating we like it.

Once each day a BSF member "tags" a photo with a "Blue Star" tag code. It is a fun way of spotlighting other individual photos of what is believed to be the original authors work.

Blue Star Favorites are photos with no system of criteria other than we like them for whatever reason. So, when you come across a Blue Star Favorite, it is our way of saying, "Hey, I like your photo! It is A Blue Star Favorite!"

Participation: When you join the BSF we encourage you to be part of the group which is spotlighting photos - the main concept. If you do not wish to participate - please do not join. Non-participating members will have membership revoked.

Application required for membership.

HOW THE BLUE STAR WORKS

• Criteria: You like it! Photos are family oriented (G-rated).
  
• Who To Tag: Any photo that you believe is the authors original photographic work within the Opera Community. Do not spotlight your own, stock photos copied from another site or a fellow Blue Star Member's photo.
  
• Posting Format: Use a thumbnail photo and align it left, link it to the photo, and add intro and comment if any. You are free to use a creative title for the post. In the tag section put your (user name) (day) (descriptive tags), e.g. Dudley, Friday, Landscape, Canada. Example Posting
  
• Day Missed: The moderators will post that day's Blue Star or any member can post and back date.
  
• How Many Photos: Please select only one photo per day for the Blue Star.
  
• Tagging Code: The best way is to use the Blue Star Widget. Or please use the "tag" code below by highlighting, copy and paste.

The widget is designed to help members of the Blue Star Favorites group create their photo "tag" comments and to provide them with a template for the daily blog posts.

It makes the whole process easier of knowing who is a Blue Star member thereby allowing us not to accidentally tag a fellow member. It also has the templates for Image Comment on the person who you are tagging and BSF blog post. Just copy and paste!

OTHER QUESTIONS
1) QUESTION: I am unable to post the Blue Star. What can I do?
ANSWER: Notify a moderator with a PM that you are unable to and the mods will post it.

2) QUESTION: I am unable to watch the groups's posts and comments, like on other blogs. What can I do?
