Groom, Bride, heart
Kriston Couchey
God asks a Question
Will you let me break your heart?
Yes, Lord, please do not let it be because of the destruction of my children.
You will see the destruction of spiritual children.
Yes Lord, but please spare my own fleshly children. I am willing to let my heart be broken.
This will be as hard or as easy as you make it.
Nearly two weeks ago
I went to a prophetic roundtable in a city southwest of where I live. As the roundtable progressed it became evident that that there were two main representatives of the city at the meeting. One was a woman who was the Ministerial Association President and some of the people from her church. The other representative of the area was a woman who seemed somewhat nervous and impatient with the proceedings.
The nervous woman expressed the hurt and poor treatment that she had received from many of the spiritual leaders in the city.
Later when it came time for prayer, the only woman left from the city was the hurt woman. She had seemed at the time to me to be like a wounded animal snapping at anything that got near. However, as she sat in the chair in front of us and people prophesied over her, I saw The Bride. In my spirit, I saw her crying out in fervor and desperation to God. I felt the heart of her Groom go out to her. I began to weep for her. I weep even now, as I write this. The Spirit of God rose up in me and I wept and prophesied over the bride.
He has heard the bride crying out and he is coming to her, and this is not the rapture. He is coming to unite Himself with her. Men will rue the day they have mocked and taken advantage of her.
I believe this was a scratch on the surface of His heart. I have wept and prayed over people at other times. I have had God break my heart at different times, and even since then. However, the passion He has for his people will culminate with His coming to unite with them. Anything between Him and the object of His Love is in danger. Have you treated His bride respectfully, even if she snaps at you like a cornered animal?
Have you had a broken heart like Him over the state of His bride and the disrespectful way men take advantage of her, inappropriately demand her affections, and mock her when she tries to rise up in freedom? He sees it and He weeps.
WILL YOU LET ME BREAK YOUR HEART? Part II
Kriston Couchey
My goal as of late has been to enter into the heart and passion of the Lord. I have noticed two things about His heart that I want to learn even more about.
1. He is a teddy bear and honoring to widows, fatherless, children, immature, poor, sick, mentally ill, strange, and outcast people.
2. He as a lion and is stricter and more demanding from elders, ministers, and ascension gifted individuals.
I have seen "leaders" honor the strong, successful, prosperous and ignore and dishonor the needy.
I have witnessed itinerate ministries puffing up and honoring "pastors" and disinterested in the plight of those they (pastors and leaders) subject to themselves. Truly the "you scratch my back I'll scratch your back syndrome".
God reminded me today of an incident at a church my friends and I went to minister at, I was drawn to a quiet older lady sitting down. I felt compelled to sit and put my arm around her and just love her. I then received a glowing word of knowledge for her of how God was honoring her faithfulness in prayer and was giving her more responsibility. I was shocked when she finally spoke, and I realized she had the mentality of an eight year old. She seemed to barely grasp what I had said to her. I was embarrassed somewhat at first, but i am convinced now that God was honoring her. That says something about the heart of God.
I Cor. 12:23 and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty, 24 while our presentable parts need no special treatment. But God has combined the members of the body and has given greater honor to the parts that lacked it,
I will also add in the converse a word I got concerning a pastor at a prophetic conference leadership meeting. The Lord directed me to give a word that was quite severe and rebuking.
As I gave the word the intercessors began falling out under the power of God. This word addressed the manner in which the person had made people slaves to their will and not God's, and they needed to repent or God would remove them from their position. This also taught me about the heart of the Lord.
I asked the Lord later about the word and He said "If you do what this pastor is doing I will rebuke you publicly too."
This puts a fear of God in me to not make the people of God my servants, but to be a servant to them.
I also passed the buck onto the Lord and did not affirm my agreement with the word to the person later as I just said "Well, God said it, I didn't."
I realized later that God wanted me to stand with Him in the judgment He had made concerning this person, and take responsibility for the word.
Jas 3:1 Not many of you should presume to be teachers, my brothers, because you know that we who teach will be judged more strictly.

fear, faith
Kriston Couchey
Do not fear the giant of "men's intimidation" and his threats. Pay him no mind; rather, keep your eyes on ME. A stone shall fell him, a stone uncut by human hands.
Do not fret and respond to the jeers of those on the Jericho walls of new age humanistic thought. For I will bring those walls down! Do not waste your strength refuting their lies, be silent before their taunts and prepare for a shout of victory.
Do not worry or fear the reports of your spies that say, “We are but grasshoppers and irrelevant in the world’s sight”. Follow my battle plans and overcome all in your path.
Do not say we are small and too few to take the land, look to the God who increases and enlarges you to fulfill your destiny.
Do not look to the right or to the left but look straight at me and have faith.
While the world’s turmoil rages, you must remain confident and find rest in ME, that you might go forth in power. Rest in me and shun all distraction that robs this rest. For then you will enter fully into this promised land of rest that overcomes all the power of the enemy.
Joshua 1: Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

I am amazed this time of the election cycle in the United States how conflicted and confused Christians become over politcal issues.
As a spirit filled Christian I am grateful for the oppurtunity to have attended a church that had more then it's share of leadership that was steeped in conservative politics, loyalty to the Republican party, and inappropriate patriotism(nationalism).
Seeing first hand the quenching and denying of the Holy Spirit by well meaning leadership as they embraced the political systems and parties as the hand of God to bring change to the nation, helped me to make the choice that I have made to deny party politics of any sort or shape.
I can truly say I have gained a disdain for party politics, and now espouse this motto: "If being a Democrat hinders ministering to a Republican then I will not be a Democrat. If being a Republican means I am a stumbling block to a Democrat then I will not be a Republican. Thank God I am neither.
All of this is the foundation of what I am writing this article for. How do christians know which "canidates" God has chosen to lead the US for the near future? I have found many "Spirit filled" people that consider themselves to be prophetic or able to hear from God very "partisan" and issue based in thier approach to this subject. The real question that should be asked is "What does God want?"
Having given a little background to my neutrality and departure from the partisan..

judgment
Many get up in arms when people say "Judgment is coming". But that is mostly due to the users misuse of the word "judgment", and the hearers allowing them to use the word inappropriately.
Judgment is good and necessary for the body of Christ. The principle greek word used for judgment is krisis- meaning:
a separating, sundering, separation
a trial, contest
selection
judgment
opinion or decision given concerning anything
esp. concerning justice and injustice, right or wrong
sentence of condemnation, damnatory judgment, condemnation and punishment
the college of judges (a tribunal of seven men in the several cities of Palestine; as distinguished from the Sanhedrin, which had its seat at Jerusalem)
right, justice
The main emphasis of this word is the separation. Just as the Word separates between soul and spirit.
Heb 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
Charles Finney brought revival not by praying down heaven, but by speaking and bringing judgment into the lives of believers. He identified and brought conviction to sin in their lives which brought repentance. He spoke the Word of truth and would face down people in the church and proclaim the judgments of God on thier sins.
We are entering into a day of this again, the righteous judgments of God being spoken into the church to remove sin.
Will you be a voice of judgment and truth to the church and then the world? That is the call of the Lord today to many, to speak forth his righteous judgments, decisions, and opinions on the state of peoples lives to bring repentance.
We need as a body to distinguish between, judgment, wrath, and chastisement. All of these have love as its motivation. All are necessary tools at the Lord's disposal. I do not sense wrath of God being poured out at this time, but I am not Him either. Judgment is the distinguishing of the profane from the sacred. Chastisement is the removal of the profane from within the sacred. Wrath is the destruction of the profane while the sacred is left intact.
Judgment and chastisement are good and of the Lord. They are here and at the door of the church...

New_Day, Merchandising
By Kriston Couchey
Responsible for What Light Reveals
A ship's captain fought at the helm all night against a storm. In the dark, guided only by a compass, he faithfully fought through the night to keep the course that would lead him to safe harbor. In the faint predawn light he saw a white foaming mass in front of him that signaled waves breaking on a reef. He quickly changed course so as to avoid what the dark just moments before had hidden.
The captain could have rationalized that his eyes were playing tricks on him and there was no danger, but the danger would still be there. All of his faithful work would have been to no avail if he hung his ship up on a reef in the increasing light of day.
In the same manner, many godly men and women have faithfully navigated a stormy night of trials in the world. They have continued to turn their focus to the Lord. But as this New Day begins, distance traveled and increasing light necessitate corrections and course changes to avert danger. The reefs of destruction are always there, but we are not responsible for what we cannot see.
God Always Makes a Way
God will not leave us penniless and helpless to accomplish the work for which He has called us. God's light also shows a way to move forward to safely navigate the stormy waters before us.
Kingdom Age Transition - a Light is Dawning
While God has used existing avenues of producing and distributing truth and anointing to bless people, He is always drawing us closer to His perfect will. He is always moving in new ways to transform us from glory to glory. The path of the righteous is like the light of dawn- it shines brighter and reveals more.
New Avenues of Releasing Truth
God is opening new avenues for artists and authors to release their works. Not just musicians, but artists will receive their wages in abundance as the Lord of Hosts prepares all the necessary tools, facilities, and distribution capabilities necessary to release His creative power through word, song, and artistry.
A workman will get MUCH more in God's economy then they have received previously by the system of the world. When faith reaches the level of trusting God to supply needs, and not the world's system of promotion, pricing, and profiteering, we will see the industry of Christian music and writing change dramatically. The dependency on the worlds system of doing business in the church will end. Thank God for that!

Matt. 10:8b ...freely ye have received, freely give.
New Testament Precedent
When Jesus spoke these words, He was sending His disciples out to minister healing, deliverance, and proclaim the message of the Kingdom.
After Pentecost, we see the Spirit of God motivating the early church to give what they had to those in need, not considering what they had their own. This meant rejecting the way the world operates and sacrificing for the people of God; offering all for the love of the brethren.
Real kingdom change and love caused Paul to lay down his life for people, and remove all obstacles that might possibly bring question and disrepute to the name of Jesus. That is why Paul at times worked with his hands to support himself, not taking money from those he ministered to so as not to have anyone question his motives. Was it wrong to accept support and gifts from God’s people? No! But, the amount given and whether to give originates in the heart of the giver, not the one receiving.
The Ways of the World in the Church
Paul did not put a price tag on his hit series “Corinthians”. There were no copyrights or royalty fees for people to use psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs in early church meetings. In fact, Simon the sorcerer was rebuked for trying to buy the gifts of the Spirit. But now, many things pertaining to the Spirit have a price tag.
I imagine the merchandisers in the temple were not much different then the sellers of spiritual things today. No one seemed to have any qualms about the services provided for a fee in the temple except Jesus. The Pharisees seemed rather shocked at the offense Jesus took to the merchandising practices. Surely not everyone selling in the temple had evil intentions; it was simply how they did “Temple worship”.
We do “Church” the same today. Today’s practice of selling books, cd’s, copyrights, and royalties of things given by and for God seems as natural as breathing to much of the church. You may not like to hear this, but it IS going to change. I will even say, “Thus saith the Lord, This WILL change!”
A New Day Demands New Ways
Keith Green exemplified The Spirit of Jesus in giving away music to any who could not afford it. I believe that because of the giving Spirit he walked in, the power of his music was a beacon of light in a day of much white-noise Christian music.
I desire to see those in places of having anointing and revelation in the body take advantage of the many means to release their gifts freely to the body. Options to download books, mp3's, or posting books and songs free or at minimal cost on websites, is a way to freely bless people with what has been freely received.
If there were a free option as well as the option to buy the hard copies or cd’s and bless the authors and Christian artists, I would buy as I was able. As a matter of principle, I usually do not purchase Christian books or music unless there is an option to receive it freely. This is not out of anger or bitterness, but out of a determination to live by the principle of "Freely you have received freely give" with the spiritual treasure God has entrusted to me.
I pray what God has shown me will help anyone who has ears to hear.

Israel Divided
Kriston Couchey
November 20, 2007
The Spirit of God has been bringing me back to an issue that has been really a very sticky one for the people of God as of late. It burns in me, and I must speak it. Much of it has to do with the status of Israel and God’s purposes for it in this New Day.
Here is what I hear God say:
1 There is a spiritual division happening in the realm of the Spirit. I am not distressed over the division of the land of Israel.
2 This is the time of "Jacob’s Trouble". The troubling of Israel is MY doing. This is so that her confidence and rescue may be in Me, NOT in their own might or the might of another nation.
3 I am concerned over the hearts of My people and their need for turning to Me and embracing their Messiah. One day my people will ask their enemies to dwell with them in peace and share their land. The land I want to give My people today is a promised land of a heart that has My kingdom within it.
4 Begin to occupy territory in the realm of the Spirit and you will see the manifestation of My Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven.
5 I will fulfill all I have promised to the last little letter concerning the land of Israel. But, My kingdom is not focused on boundaries or earthly governments.
6 I have the same regard for ethnocentric national interests that I did when I came to earth the first time; they are insignificant and push men to hate and kill each other. It was this same spirit that rejected Me and plotted my death on a cross; as I refused to honor and build the kingdom the Pharisees wanted the Messiah to build.
7 This same spirit plagues the "church" and manifests as national patriotism and a sectarian spirit.

Now you Will Shake
Kriston Couchey
November 15, 2007
Now you will shake,
Let the Praises begin
Now you will shake,
As My Glory comes in
As it is in the Spirit,
So it’s witnessed on earth
Now you will shake,
As the Spirit gives birth
Transitional Labor,
Is painful and strong
No more intermissions,
The contractions are long,
Now will shake,
Let My Glory arise
Even though you have heard it,
The truth will surprise
My Glory brings judgment,
Both sorrow and peace
For some separation,
For others release
I’m accepting an offering,
First fruits unto Me
A number in millions,
Devoted and free
Now you will shake,
Do not fear what you see
Now you will shake,
Keep your focus on Me

Forgiveness, Samaritan, Israeli, God
...
What if, like the good Samaritan, the Israeli's let the past be the past and reached down like Christ and brought healing and help to those hurting that did nothing to deserve it and were thier sworn enemies?
What if they said, "Out of Love we will share Jerusalem", and be favorable to the stranger?
What if The US had, instead of attacking those who struck them in New York, chose to reach a hand out in forgiveness and lay thier lives down for them like Jesus?
The answer is:
THE KINGDOM OF GOD WOULD HAVE FULLY COME!

glory, desolation, temple, Abomination
...
Is my temple made with human hands?
Are not My people the dwelling place of My Spirit and Glory?
Who has taken up residence in the house of My Glory?
Is it not the “God” of your own making?
Is this false Christ (antichrist) you worship not formed after your own image and not Mine?
Yet you call this Christ by my name, “Jesus”?
A stench rises from My temple.
Your “Jesus” is self exalting and rewards those who lord over their brothers.
This “Christ” does not drive out the abomination of thieves making merchandise of my people.
He honors the sons of Eli, exalting those who seize the best portions for themselves.
He winks at those who satisfy their lustful desires upon the vulnerable among my people.
Shall I keep silent about this abomination?
Shall I bless those who worship this idol of self?
As in the days of Eli; My Glory is departed and you are given over to your enemies in desolation.
But, those who minister before me like Samuel shall be blessed and their words shall not fall to the ground.
They shall inherit the places of those made desolate and herald the coming King.
Lu 13:35 Behold, your house is left to you desolate: and truly I say to you, You shall not see me, until the time come when you shall say, Blessed is he that comes in the name of the Lord.
Ac 1:20 For it is written in the book of Psalms, Let his habitation be desolate, and let no man dwell therein: and his position as bishop let another take.
