Blizzcon 2009

, , , ...

So, I am off on another jolly around the world, well, half way around.

Yes, I am travelling to the Anaheim, California in the United States of America to attend Blizzcon 2009! It will be good to see some of the people I met there last time and also meet new people. Last year was great fun, but this year might well best it.

Blizzard Entertainment have increased the venue size, so there will be even more likeminded folk there to exchange ideas and opinions with. Since it was the run up to the Presidential elections last year, it will be good to see what the average American (not just Californian) thinks of the new President - has Barack Obama done well in his first 8 months (then) in office, or has he actually dropped the ball on a lot of issues - I will be sure to check back and find out.

Ski Trip!

I am off to Grindelwald, Switzerland for a ski trip. I will write what happens upon return, provided of course, I am not bankrupted by this less than lousy exchange rate.

Blizzard Entertainment World Wide Invitational - where will it be?

, , , ...

Blizzard Entertainment has released details of Blizzcon 2009 - I attended this in California last year.

I also attended the WWI in Paris, this was a much slicker affair, perhaps one of the most stimulating excursions I have had. All that needs to happen now is a confirmation of it's location for 2009.

An educated guess points to South Korea - somewhere I would indeed like to travel, but alone this would be difficult. Personally, I would like to go to Paris for it again.

Let's hope for an update soon...

I would vote for Kevin Rudd

, , ,

So I received an email today from a good friend, although I don't see to much of her due to her globetrotting antics.

Essentially Kevin Rudd, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia has said that "Immigrants, not Australians, should adjust" (not sure if that is actually the verbatim quote, but no matter).

Now one cannot help but admire this attitude towards immigration - while I adore many cultures and love travelling around the world meeting people, sharing in their way of life, I detest the imposition of other peoples' culture on me in my own country.

Kevin Rudd has shown he is a true statesman with this and I think the Western leaders should take note.
