The man who flirted with the moon
The man who flirted with the moon would be he who fainted in ecstasy to see the vibrant sunflowers dancing in the sky. Know this, he would look right through the dark daylight and find no-man’s-land with a blink of his eyes.
The man who knew better than the rocks would be he whose pristine feet took him to stand at the peak of the world. Indeed he would stand alone while the snails and stars shot glaciers across his heart.
The man who couldn’t rip a dying leaf would be he who strangled a plant with gentle green hands. Therefore, it would be his body to be eaten by ants and worms.
The man who walked in circles all night would be the one to break free out of the ring (and to howl at the full moon). The man who bore the forest in his skull would be the one in whose eyes the ocean took refuge.

I wish I knew what inspired this, may be that would've made it easier for me to understand parts of it. But well, I never had to "understand" a poem to admire it. In fact sometimes it feels way better to not understand and just feel it. The last 2 stanzas were the ones I could relate most to, in a strange and solitary way.

Yes, it might remind one who has heard Regina of that specific song. In my case the song reminds me of my this little creation (which I intended to be one of my best, didn't turn out anything like that though), as I heard the song only recently.
Thank you for commenting on this. Your opinion on this means the world to me.
