Deer and diamonds

the deer play, in the aura of wind and diamond...

Those that gave in

Those that gave in are grinning wide
with moist white eyes.
Teeth shining peaceful, dipped as they were
long in acrid tastes.

Now they eat melting ice-creams, those-
alone standing on narrow paveways.
Licking to the last bit with utter pleasure,
now that no offenses are taken.

Now they rest in distant sleep,
through night and day
rain and red
silence and storm.
Now that all mistakes are forgiven.

Those that gave in are now staring blank
at reminiscent drops. Looking dry at
gray washed walls,
now that all is crystal and calm.

I suspect that I might have related (only too well) with this poem in a very different way than what was originally implied/intended by the poet. But then, the only poems I ever really related to for their original intent/inspiration, were the ones written by me!
A great read, one way or other (which is in fact the High-quality Syndrome in poetry cool ).

Your comments on these pseudo-poems always flatter me dear. Trying to write poems in English, a language a barely know I think, is more than impudence for me.

" A great read, one way or other (which is in fact the High-quality Syndrome in poetry "- Yes indeed. I'm really interested in your view of the poem, could you share your thoughts over it here?
