Attempting to get access to configure mySql on Tiscali

I don’t know if I can put this but it’s not like I am stating anything untrue.
Basically to cut a very long story very short I signed up with Tiscali business broadband about a year ago, I purchased a domain name through them and while I cant fault the broadband connection itself there appears to be a problem with the management of the SQL database, web space is fine but I cant logging to configure the database.
My call to technical support has apparently been escalated to the 3rd line technical support team but although phoning almost every week I am repeatedly told they will call me back.
I am still awaiting a call and have yet again today been promised a call back twice!
I would be very interested to hear from anyone else with similar problems.

Hi, I don't know if you've had any joy with your phpMyAdmin/Tiscali situation? I too had this problem and following the Tiscali online instructions to the letter did not work for me either. After months of badgering I was finally issued a "new" username and password for phpMyAdmin which bear no resemblance to my Tiscali login and so there is no way to guess what it is. It works great. It has taken me ages to get to grips with it - I would consider myself quite proficient in most software related environments (having a degree in Maths and Comp Sci) but the powerful nature of it makes it so complicated. I am very disappointed with the lack of any form of documentation from Tiscali. Anyway I have used it successfully and integrated some php into my website and it all works great. However, there's still so much I don't know and can't work out.

I hope that if you badger them (which I also object to having to pay their call charges to find out what I have already paid for in my subscription) you too will be issued with a username and password.
