Violence Erupted In Borough Hall-Brooklyn-New York City!
It was mentioned on StarAndBuckWild Radio this morning, that there was an incident in Borough Hall, Brooklyn, New York City. Where a police car was responding to an emergency call, as they proceeded along a certain road in (Borough Hall ), a Hasidic Jewish neighborhood, they were prevented from passing, because a car, occupied by a man who were speaking on his cell phone.
The Police claimed that they put the siren on, honked their horns, and even paged him on the Public Address system from their vehicle, to move his car from blocking their passage. But he refused!
However, they got out and approached his vehicle, thereby asking him to leave his vehicle, which he did, but with some verbal affronts with them.
Incidentally, this is the police version of this incident.
This incident seemed to have caused a rush to the scene by probably a thousand Hasidic Jews who live in that neighborhood, to show support for this alleged physical threat on their kind, in their neighborhood.
Personally, I am unable to fully comprehend the rationale behind such actions by the community. Because if this man was preventing the Police from responding to an emergency call, he was in fact breaking the law. And if the community perceived that he was hassled by the Police during this incident, then the proper thing to do was to enquire from the Commissioner of Police, or relevant authorities, for validation of these accusations.
The radio host when discussing this incident, inferred that this Hasidic Jewish community is known for their victimized mentality. And if that was the communal response from them, then all ethnic communities should take note!
