World of Warcraft Tips For New Players

I've been playing World of Warcraft for several years now, and it seemed like it took me forever to get to level cap. I'd say I'm about as close as you could get to a professional leveler without getting paid for it, selling accounts or anything like that because I've level so many different characters.
The reason it took me so long to hit level cap was because I was constantly thinking about how I'd rather play another class, or thought how other classes were better and more versatile than mine so I would change. Now I have about 5 characters all maxed out. A mage was my first, then came priest, palladin, druid, and of course a death knight. Everyone has one of those. I love my death knight though, he's a crazy tank.
Right now I'm even leveling a warrior, a shaman, and a hunter. I've got a lowbie lock that I just don't give any love to at all.
One thing I always do with all of my characters is cycle through who I'm playing, while always concentrating on a main character as well. I'll play a character only if it is on rested experience. Or I really want to play that toon. If I really want to play it, I just will. This will allow my other characters to accrue some much needed rested xp anyway.
Of course this isn't the fastest way to get the big ding, it's just how I do it. It turns out I like leveling more than I like spending 4 hours raiding something where we keep dying for stupid reasons. Though I do know lots of other players love the endgame. So here are a few of my super simple leveling tips if you want to level fast.
First thing, pick one character and stick with it. Questing is a good way to get a decent amount of experience per hour. Though there are several locations you can pick to get massive amounts of aoe mobs down at once for huge amounts of experience per hour.
For fast questing, level as dps spec if it's an option. Healers and tanks take too long to kill stuff. In questing or aoe grinding you want to kill fast, stay alive and get it done as fast as possible.
Make sure to set your hearth stone to a convenient location, so that you can easily clear your bags when they're full, send items to your bank alt, repair and get back to killing stuff, or questing in the right area for you. Speaking of bags, you should pick up some Frostweaves as soon as you can. If you can't afford them right now, the Netherweaves are a great bargain.
Playing some music or drinking too much redbull is also a great idea. The most important thing about leveling your character though is to just have fun. Some people may say the game starts when you can start raiding, but in all honesty it's just a game, and if you aren't having fun with it, then quit. It doesn't matter what level you are, you should always be enjoying yourself.
