Crown Prince Arrives In Nanning

Nanning, China - His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister's Office, paid a courtesy call on Lu Bing, Governor of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region at the Li Yuan Resort Villa, Nanning, China, yesterday.
During the meeting the two leaders discussed ways of further strengthening ties in the fields of agriculture, tourism and trade.
With Brunei and Guangxi enjoying a "traditional relationship", Lu Bing said he would encourage local businessmen set up businesses in Brunei, and local people to travel to the sultanate.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince will jointly inaugurate the 4th China-Asean Expo with Vice Premier of China, His Excellency Zeng Peiyan.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince will also attend the 4th China Asean Business and Investment Summit as representative of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu'izzaddin Waddaulah, the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam. The sultanate has been selected as this year's `Country of Honour' in the expo, which is held annually to promote trade and business between Asean countries and China.
Earlier, His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah arrived here in the afternoon.
Upon arrival Their Royal Highnesses were welcomed by President of Guangxi Publicity Department, Shen Beihai, and Chinese Ambassador to Brunei Darussalam Her Excellency Tong Xialong along with Guangxi senior officials.
Departing to Li Yuan Resort where their Royal Highnesses will be staying throughout their visit to Nanning, the royal couple was greeted by Minister of Communications, Pehin Orang Kaya Seri Kerna Dato Seri Setia Awg Hj Abu Bakar Hj Apong.
