A Concert and a New Chair

As mentioned in my previous post, we bought Connor and Emily tickets to go see SuperNova, as seen on the reality (or lack thereof) TV show.

It was at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre, which meant we had to consume our beverages outside the show. Emily took the rock and roll bit to heart, getting pink streaks in her hair, but then covered them up with her rock and roll hat. It was a good thing she covered them up as she might have been mistaken for Tommy Lee, with the bass drum (excuse me if the terminology isn't quite right here Deke (Oh yeah Deke doesn't have a computer)) that was bigger than our Buick Stroller. This time I took a real camera rather than relying on my phone, however sitting at the back adversly impacted my ability to get good pictures.

I didn't have to worry about Tommy Lee's antics as he had toned the show down from the first one in Vegas. Good thing as the crowd was very diverse ranging in ages from about Emily's age to the older group polishing their glasses to get a better look at Dave Navaro's butt.
The show was actually much better than I expected. After Mick inviting me to the world's crappiest music festival last summer, I have learned to set my expectations low. Not being a RockStar afficionado, I may get the names wrong here, but the show opened with a short set from Dilana and Magni, followed by a rockin set from the Aussie Toby. Then Dave Navaro's band The Panic Channel performed an acoustic set, due to their bass player being incarcerated at the border. That was probably the highlight of the evening. Dave if your reading this, can you please leave me a message. Ali is concerned that you may not have got her phone number, it was written in the bra that she threw at you....

During the intermission, the band, sans Dave, ventured into the audience to mingle long enough for the lead singer to give Emily a wave and tell her he loved her. That's him behind Emily's thumb,....no not the one in the dress. Actually it looks like he did quite well at the mingling part of the evening.

By the time SuperNova came on Emily was rocking right along, and even Connor was smiling and tapping his foot a bit.
Finally a pic of that good old Canadian kid Lucas, and one of Gilby for Kim. Gilby, if your reading this, sorry about the phone number in Kim's bra, I crossed her number out and replaced it with Mick's

Late breaking news. Wee Eck got a beginner high chair today, from Grandma and Grandpa. I assume this means that there will be an expert one coming later.
Cheers
