Last Sled of the Season

As I am off working again, it appears our sled ride the other week will be the last ride of the season. Here are the gratuitous airtime pictures from that ride.

Also on this trip I decided to try out my new office. Silly me thinking that a sat phone and a mountain top would guarantee phone coverage. Nope. Still trying to understand how satellite communication works, but definetly not like in the movies. A couple of days ago Kim and I watched Blood Diamond, and Matt Damon's phone seems to work flawlessly. Let me assure you that this is not the case.
The Canucks are in the playoffs, which means having a beer and watching the game.
Lastly, Whistler Blackcomb have announced they are building a Gondola, that runs from the peak of Whistler to the peak of Blackcomb. This is a 4 km distance, with a span of 3 kms unsuported. at the highest point it will be 415 m above the ground. This is an amazing feat of engineering. Check it out at Peak to Peak Gondola
Cheers
