Fat Guy Follies

We went to the cabin the other weekend. Mike was having a dead tree dropped. It had to come down in 4 sections. Mike hired Frank from town. If you look closely, you can see a red patch in the tree. That's Frank.

The top came off nicely, thanks to the hard work by the ground crew..

Frank is 64 years old. Once back on the ground he says that the climbing is over, now it's time for the Whiskey. He didn't get the last cut finished as the Kentucky Derby was on, and he had to go back to town to watch it.







Then we decided it was time to take Wee Eck for a bike ride, so we loaded him in the backpack contraption and pedalled off down the road.

The excitment was too much for Eck, and he soon fell asleep. Note, that due to the proximty of the logging road to the lake, Kim insisted that I wear a floatation ring under my shirt.

Connor practiced some weight lifting

As part of trying to maximise the redneckabilty of the family, we bought a BB gun. It will be useful if a bear ever attacks us and the bear is made out of very thin aluminum beer can material. Travis also gave Connor the "Daisy" rifle

Kim says that Emily shoots like a little girl and I aim like Emily shoots.
Finally Eck discovered that he truly is a carnivore.
