Skinny Girl Update, Baja Quotes and Squamish Ride

The San Diego Marathon draws closer. The girls are in their resting phase, so Kim and I did a short 3 mile run this morning. Kelly suffered a leg fracture several weeks ago, and has been water running to train in the hopes that it would have healed in time for the race. Last week her doctor told her no way she could run, but yesterday she got the okay to walk the course. She is pretty happy about that. Resting means different things to the girls. To Lori it means go shopping for a new wardrobe. Hopefully Andrew doesn't read my blog. Kim is going shopping for a new bathing suit today too. Yahoo!!! Check back as race day approaches.
I found these Baja Quotes in one of my Autoweek Magazines. Cameron Steele, one of the guys quoted here, stopped and chatted with us at Rancho El Coyote.
Brent, Steve and I went for a ride near Squamish on Sunday. We were hoping to make the upper end of Indian Arm down a powerline right of way, but were stopped by snow. Instead we did a hill climb up behind the Chief. It was a brutal climb and brought back memories off all that was bad about Baja. Fighting the bike up steep stupid rocky climbs. However at the top the view was good. Back down at the bottom we hit a road to Kat Lake, and opened the bikes up, which reminded me of all that was good about Baja.

Squamish from behind the Chief
Cheers
