FINISHED!

Everyone is across the finish line. Actually a long time ago. Lori was first across with a smoking time of 4:27:27 for a race pace of 10:12 minutes per mile. Kim was across next with a time of 4:59:51, squeaking in under her personal goal of 5 hours by a mere 9 seconds.
Kim's watch said she made it by just 2 seconds. Kim and Ali separated late in the race, as Ali was having trouble with the heat. Kim notched it up to see if she could beat the mark, and Yeah!!!! she did.
Ali was in at 5:18:38. Ali says that for the last few miles, all the aid stations were calling her name, but she toughed it out, stayed on here feet and made it across. Kelly was in at 5:50:12. Hopefully her doctor doesn't read this, since a race pace of 13:22 isn't really walking.
The weather cleared up and it got hot, much hotter than yesterday, and much hotter than all of their training runs. It was also very warm down in the finish line zoo at the airforce base. However I don't think we will be fooled by any so called training trips to Vegas. All the kids came out to cheer on their Mums, and were very well behaved, a tribute to the Dad's I'm sure.
Sorry, but I could not get anywhere near the finish line to get official finish pictures.
Mike got us a bus from the base, to within 3 blocks of our hotel, which was a huge relief as there were about a billion people trying to get back home. None of the girls were moving too fast, and I think there might be a few less toenails getting painted next week by Lori.
There were tears and loving going on at the finish line too.

Can't believe you ran a marathon with wee Eck not long out of the oven. I think I can eclipse you achievement though. I walked down to the Chuck at the weekend! I hope to be rested well enough to go back to work on Thursday.
Well done again
