Duart Castle

One last shot from Tobermory

We finished Monday off with a fine Indian Meal. The restuarants in Tobermory are all owned by millionaires, who just run them as a pastime, except for the Indian place. All of the restaurants have their closing time posted as 9:00. At 8:40 none of them would take 6 hungry people, and by looking at me, they should be able to tell that I am not just there for a small appy and a glass of water. There is money to be made when I come into a place. It was all for the best, as the Indian meal was excellent.

This is us before the meal. I know it was before the meal because after the meal, my hair was soaked. It seems my Madras was a little spicier than I am used to.

The next morning we headed off to look at dead people, or at least the place where they put dead people. It seems that living on the islands must be a good life. The majority of the people buried here lived well over 70, even back in the 1800s.

Then it was off to Duart Castle, the seat of Clan MacClean. Moira is a MacClean, so we thought we should check out where she could live.

I forgot to take a picture of the castle itself, so I had to steal this one from their website.
It was a beautiful, blustery day. The sun was shining, the wind was blowing, and there were rain showers. It looked like the people in this sailboat were having a great time in the wind.

We got up to the top of the castle for some pics.

And then it was back down to check out the armaments. Watch out that thing might have a hair trigger.

Cheers
