A Real Rawk n Roll Show

The Foo Fighters.
Last week, The Foo Fighters played Vancouver, at the old Pacific Coliseum.
I had heard from several people that Dave Grohl, puts on a good show, and I was very interested. I loved it. Kim was not quite as enthusiastic as me, but she still enjoyed the show. Dave is quite a showman, and really knows how to work the crowd, and yes he throws in the odd expletive.
It appeared to be a sold out show, and everyone in the place was rocking.

The show came with lots of cool stuff, they used video very well during the performance, and even had a second stage drop from the ceiling.
I learned something about attending real Rawk and Roll Shows. From my vantage point in the stands, I now know not to buy floor seats. While I think I could endure the slam dancing in the mosh pit, the constant stream of people crowd surfing would get extremely annoying. As we were leaving Kim mentioned that the Wee (referring to the length of his show) Irishman, Van Morrison should also learn something from A Foo Fighters Concert, such as how to interact with the crowd, and how to give the crowd their money's worth. The Foo Fighters played for 2 1/2 hours, and there were two opening acts, which we missed due to painting the bedroom (maybe we are too old for Rock and Roll), for at least 4 hours of entertainment.
Cheers
