A Short Run
Sunday, May 4, 2008 8:15:11 PM
We jumped on the skytrain this morning and headed into the big city for a wee run.
It was a typical Vancouver morning, sunny and calm. Allison and Kelly joined Kim and I.

It turns out that 6000 other people decided to join us and call it the BMO Vancouver Marathon.
Since it was a short run day, we only ran the half. Of course there was the usual pre-race ritual of waiting for the poopers.
Then we were off. We headed through Chinatown, the East Van Drug area before heading into Stanley Park, and past the statue of Harry Jerome, who was the first person to run 100m in 10 seconds.
I, on the other hand, was hurting pretty badly by that time. Note the strong similarities in running styles between Hank and myself.
There was lots of entertainment, including these guys at Brockton Point.
As we rounded the corner past Brockton Point, we could see The Lions Gate Bridge in the distance, and realized we had to climb up to it
More to come, I have to go eat breakfast
Skinny Bryan - Not!
