The Swan Song

I walked into Amber Jacks Pub on St Patricks day, wearing my Hoops regalia. On opening the doors, my ears were assaulted by the sound of someone kicking the poop out of a drum kit. Nothing subtle about this guy, sort of like Keith Moon in a bad mood. To my surprise, it was John Swam, playing jam night with the Worms

Here we see the Worms with Jim Smart, who played with one of the earlier incarnations of the band.

Johnny got his start much earlier, playing in Hildie's basement, the subject of my previous post.

It turns out that John and Janet were on their way to California, and stopped in for a visit with the gang in Surrey.

Several pints of the good stuff were hosted in hour of the event.

(Sorry Janet, your brother took the picture)

Here we see John and Scott discussing the damage to the drum kit.

Based on a visual estimate, Scottie and I have given John a provisional membership into the Big Boys Club, pending a formal weigh in. A good time was had by all.

Cheers

It appears to be a "clammy pint". Here in the colonies, a quaint custom practiced by the fairer sex, is to mix a splash of clamato juice with beer. It is occasionally seen in the hands of a male on Sunday morning, before 10:00 am, accompanied by a large hangover, as an excuse for getting veggies with breakfast. Since it was not Sunday Morning I can only hope that Scottie is not the ugliest girl I know.
