Mike's to San Felipe

After a good Breakfast at Mike's we headed out for San Felipe. We were running the back way out to Vallee T for fuel, so we rode past a short cut that Brent wiped out on while pre-running the '06 race. This time, no problem.
While fueling up in Vallee de Trinidad,
this guy was beside us. Hope he doesn't smoke while driving.
Unfortunately, a mechanical issue with my bike forced us to ride back to Ensenada, and swap the 650 out for Dan's 450. We ended up with a long day of highway riding getting into San Felipe just at dark.
We ran out past Lake Diablo Dry Lakebed, and Mount Diablo where The Weatherman's relay station sits for all the races.
The next morning we got to see San Felipe in the daylight, and it is a pretty cool place. I'd like to come back, but after riding about 4 miles of the San Felipe 250 course, I will not be running that race.
And since it was my bike that broke, I got the Taco bed, because it folded up as soon as I lay down on it.
Cheers

I like the pic of the pickup bed being filled with gas. The guy smiling for the camera makes it real nice.
That much gas must have been a whole lot of pesos.

Dave;
It is a beautiful country. It is ranchers like that guy that we often rely on for fuel. Way out in the middle of nowhere, there are people who sell fuel to bikers.
