Motorbikes and Anatomy

My knowledge of anatomy has increased by order of magnitudes since starting to ride motobikes. I am now studying the hand. It turns out that I fractured my finger in 3 places when I fell off my bike. Not the finger with the boo-boo either. I also learned that not all tractures are easy to spot in an X-ray, but the doctor showed me where they were, and where the muscle joins onto the broken bit, which is why it hurts so much to move it.

The next two pictures show why it is nice to be first in a race - clean air.

I do not know who is faster, Brent or Dan, but Dan felt compelled to ride behind me. He carried the first aid kit, and figured he would be on the scene faster when riding behind me.

It also allows Dan to get a first hand account of me falling off my bike, which he gladly re-enacts, long before I am recovered and able to find the humour in it. This is what good friends are really about.

Back to San Felipe. The Hotel we stayed in was deserted. We were the only customers, except for the Seagulls in the pool. They flew away before I had the camera out.

Really weird being the only people there.

I'm sorry about the fall, but I love the deserted hotel part. I like the feeling an empty hotel has. The employees probably have plenty of time to chat, if there are any of them around.

You are in San Felipe, Baja, right? I've not seen much of western Mexico but hope to one day.

We were in San Felipe Baja on the Sea of Cortez. Very cool place. Given our poor command of the Spanish Language, there was not much chatting going on, lots of handwaving though. They were extremely helpful, showing us where to lock our bikes, opening our room etc.

Next time you drive to Burning Man, just go a little farther and then turn left.....

If I could get some decent money together, I'd like to go and just stay there. As long as there's some DSL around, I'd be OK. happy
