Fat Guy Follies

The Adventures of Bryan and Friends

Parenting Skills

The other week we took the girls and Eric to the cabin. There was a bit of snow, so we brought the sleds, including the latest addition to the fleet, the Phazer. Good thing, as the flamer broke down.
We started out by heading down to the lake. We came up with a plan to try to get sponsorship money for snowmobiling by creating a Corona commercial for Canada. We did not realize until later, that perhaps the brewery may not be interested. They might want thicker ice in the background.

In reality we had previously determined that the ice was safe, through very scientific means. We sent the littlest guy to the edge first.

Following the success of the trip to the lake we headed to the lookout rock, where the same approach was used to determine if the cornice was safe to stand on.

After that it was a no-brainer. The small sled had broken down, so give the girls the hotrod sleds to ride. Nothing like a 700 piped, carbon fibre reeds, rejetted etc for a rookie.

Despite some serious rivalry about who could go fastest and who was going to be first, there were only a couple of minor crashes. It was a good day, and the girls gave it their approval.

In an attempt to get some type of injury out of the day we ended it with a Croquinole Tourney. As a child this always caused bloodshed in the Swan household. Alas it was still all very civilized, no fights and we won.

Cheers
