It's Still About the Food

Yes there is food at the Olympics, and lots to choose from. Our first day downtown we choose Steamworks Brewery in Gastown for lunch The food was acceptable, and the beer was great.
Kim went with the Carnivore Ceasar Salad, and Eric had the kid friendly Chicken Strips. I had the Chorizo and Chicken Quesedilla.
Eric gives the Cranberry Juice two thumbs up. Definitely great Olympic Lunch atmosphere. If you are only interested in food, and find your self at the tent next door (more on that later), just pass on by and head into the Steamworks.
As we wandered around our noses were bombarded with fantastic smells, usually these were coming from the many Mr.Tubesteak stands scattered around. For those of you who have made the top of the food chain and still choose not to take advantage of it, there are vegetarian Mr Tubesteaks around too.
Not sure what goes into a vegetarian hotdog, if they are trying to make it the equivalent of a "meat" hotdog.
While sitting in Irish House, we watched an acquaintance, dig into this Dubliner Burger. A full meal deal.
However Canada's Christine Nesbitt was paired against a German girl in the Womens Speed Skating so we ducked out of Irish house and headed for the waterfront and Germany House.
Germany House is a large beer tent beside the aforementioned Steamworks Pub.

Something about putting makeup on a pig (referring to the tent not the inhabitants)
Germany House serves Bratwurst and German beer. I had a great stout, although not quite up to Aurthur Guiness' standard.
The Bratwurst was being served by a Canadian the cashier was Mexican.
and somehow, it did not live up to my anticipation. Should have gone for Mr Tubesteak.
Cheers
