Not Quite Turkey

When ever I am visiting Barranquilla, Columbia and it is time for an evening burger, my favourite spot is El Corral. This was because by the time TJ's in Leicester get a burger delivered across the Atlantic and Caribbean, it has usually cooled down. However last night while out for a walk, I discovered a posh El Corral. It had a huge bar, fancy tables and waiters. As I was unable to get a Turkey dinner tonight, for the same reason I couldn't get TJ's, I headed there. Carlos, my driver, told me that the posh one, was the same as the fast food joint, only with beer. Carlos was wrong! At the fast food place I order a Todoterreno, which according to my total lack of understanding of the Spanish language means everything in the garden.
The waiter took me to a table and tried to show me the menu, complete with salads and steaks, but I waved it away and ordered the Todoterreno, con papas. I guess I should have read the menu. This was no fast food burger, this was the biggest burger I have consumed. To get an idea of the scale of this thing, there is a bottle of Corona hidden behind it. Look at the juices around the bottom of the bun, two types of cheese - melted perfectly, thick bacon strips, fresh tomatoes, raw onions, there are several cucumbers worth of pickles hidden in there and about 2 lbs of juicy hamburger. No lean ground beef on this puppy.
When I was finished the burger, there was so much juice and sauce left on the plate, I called for some crackers and called it soup.
Cheers
