Fat Guy Follies

Hockey returns this weekend. Kim already has the appy menu prepared, the Canucks' regalia unpacked and her Jersey ironed. Most people think that Hockey has returned due to a long bargaining session between Garry Bettman and the players union. Well I guess I should set a few things straight. First off Gary is not highly thought of in these parts.

Secondly, both the players and the league actually bowed to pressure from the upstart NHL - The Nahatlatch Hockey League, complete with our own Logo, and the capability to have a playing surface larger than the Europeans.

Games are a little different - getting there can be a challenge, often requiring a chain saw to clear the road.

The parking lots can be crowded.

The Ice Cleaning crew do not wear short skirts like in Chicago.

And the Zamboni is replaced by a bucket, filled through a hole chainsawed in the ice.

The dressing room is a plastic bucket.

But once on the ice, the skating is even better outside.

Apres Skate beverages are served with ice fresh from Eric's Icicle Farm, you can choose long ice, or extra long ice.

And and extra long ice drink should be enjoyed over a game of croquinole.
