Up Your Ash

For those who have been living under a rock for the last few days, there is a Volcano erupting in Iceland that has crippled air travel around Europe, including the UK, where I am stranded. I need to review the music on my IPOD to ensure that it is adequate for being stranded on an Small Island.

I woke up Sunday morning to a film of ash on my car parked in Scotchland (although it felt more like Guinessland Sat Night)

My flight home this morning from Heathrow did not leave the ground. However I was not drunk at 8:00 am in the airport like this guy who was trying to get to Prague for a party weekend. He throws the interviewer for a loop.....I Hate Iceland

This morning I heard that some flights were getting in and out of Scotland, unfortunately, my airplane is in Southern England. I have a theory about this though. Eddie and Alison took me to see where they herd the wind, a place called a windfarm on Sunday. I think the farmers were off for the day though. I suspect that someone has turned these things around and they are using them as giant fans to blow the ash right back at Iceland.

Here we see Eddie, incognito in his fatigues and shades scouting for the operation, which must have been carried out last night.

These suckers are big. They could probably blow the ash all the way to Greenland.

The news is reporting that the volcano is causing more disruption to the airline industry than 9-11. Some days you wish that George W was still in power. What with the previous damage done to the European economy by the
Iceland Banking Collapse and now this. He would have declared Iceland part of the Axis of Evil, sent in the troops and liberated the volcano. In the meantime, if anyone knows how to turn it off, please let me know.

I don't quite understand why one of the first flights out of Glasgow was to Iceland. They started this mess, and they get to go home. I just hope the Guinness comes to the UK by boat....
Eddie is concerned too....

Cheers
Topping up on the Guinness in case they run out Bryan
