Dust 2 Glory

The movie Dust 2 Glory has transformed the sport of desert racing. The number of people competing in our class, has almost doubled since last year, and the huge resurgence is due entirely to the movie. It plays 24 hours a day in the hotel, well at least the first 60 minutes, until Mouse Crashes. I guess it is a burned copy from somewhere.
Mag 7, our pit service are so concerned about the number of rookie sportsman that they are supporting, they asked Dan to do a write up for them. We stopped in Vallee de Trinidad today for gas, and were going to take road out to the course, bypassing the Simpson loop. I asked another racer for directions through town. His response was,
In the movie they raced through town.
Today was another slow day. Only one flat, plus we had to fix one from yesterday. We averaged 15 mph from El Rayo to the Trinidad Goat trail. Only 1 pic today changing tires, we are getting good at it. I crashed once, Brent went down twice. Brent broke his Bark Busters, but in the spirit of the Baja, another competitor gave Brent a pair for free.

I am totally drained. I can hardly lift my arms. Riding a bike down here you burn 400 - 600 calories per hour, and it is essential to replace them. I had 2 fish taco dinners tonight. The guy raised his eyebrows when I ordered, but I pointed to the fat guy belly, and he just smiled.
Cheers

.Head straight down this road til the corner where the trophy truck hits the motorhome. Turn right and go to the road where Mouse McCoy gets up to 115 mph and the cameraman says "this is stupid"
