We are once again together as a team. Bryan and Brent pre-ran an additional 100 miles today with Steve providing chase support. Dan returned from the midwest.
The Honda guys are shameless. They really are starting to bring embarrassment to us all. They have heard the rumors of “the flying desert monkey” aka Bryan Cox. His unique riding style that discourages any use of the legs is starting to get in their head. Fact is, if their lead rider (Steve Hengeveld) asks us one more time to pre-run with us we will have to go further into seclusion.
Thier trucks have been following the flying desert monkey everywhere he goes.
Our great luck with tires continues. In lieu of tubes, we have elected to try packing them with sand and lizard crap. At this point, we will try anything.
Tomorrow will consist of a short 30 mile ride in the morning for Dan, followed by registration, tech inspection, contingency row, riders meeting, and more Team Honda begging.
