My OperaRace Day Update #1

12:30pm Just received a phone call from Dan. He passed the bike onto Brent at 10:30 in El Rayo.(think that's where he said) He is off to find a clinic now to see about getting an IV as he can't keep anything down. Amazing he did as much as he did. What a trooper!! He will meet up with the team in Santo Tomas, but won't be riding anymore.
Bryan & Brent will be putting in some extra miles now as Dan's miles have been shortened.
The kids & I are catching up on some ZZZs as we have also been up since 4am. Had a full morning of cheering on Dan and the rest of the bikes leaving the start line, souvenoir shopping, & watching the Trophy trucks leave with helicopters hovering above! What an amazing experience! Very loud & exciting!! Emily is our official camera girl. She even interviewed the NBC crew standing in front of us. Will head to the pool soon & wait for our next update.
