Boating

I spent a week at Green Lake with Kim and her family. As mentioned in a previous blog, I took my boat up. Everyone at Green Lake thinks I took my boat just to avoid being social. I spent most of the week with my head in the engine compartment. I had a hydraulic line blow, which was fairly easy to repair. The carburetor was jetted too rich for running at 3500 ft elevation. It is too rich here at sea level. I spent all week taking the carb apart and back together trying to come up with a jetting combination that would work. I was not successful and now I understand why. According to the British Car Owners Bible by Dick O'Kane, Carburetor is a French word meaning "Leave it alone".
