No Flat Tires

Here is an update on Porky Burrito, and a few other events that have been happening. I have not had any bright ideas on the blog front lately, sorry about that. It is now late at night in Montreal and I have decided I need to post something.....
First off an update on the wain. He is eating on a very regular basis and growing at an amazing rate. He is still hampered by short legs, and therefore unable to get on a bike. Hopefully he overcomes that problem next week. He is already outgrowing some clothes ( including the ones that look like dresses - Whew!!!)

Next off, the other week Brent and I went for our first post-Baja ride. We went from Bear Creek, over the Kookipi to the cabin. A great high speed run, very picturesque, and best of all no flat tires or crashes. We averaged 60 km/hr for 4 hours, however there were quite a few breaks on the way which dropped the average down. When we compared that to the speed that the Checkers guys are training Dan to ride at, we realized we were lagging just a bit.....

Dan has been trying to arrange some sponsorship for the Baja 1000 race. Here is an excerpt from their riding resumes.
Mike Korenwinder:
-Senior Open Expert
-2003 District 37 Desert # 1
-2003 Best In The West Desert # 1
-2004 District 37 Desert # 1
-2004 Best In The West Desert #1
-Vet Open Pro
-2005 Best In The Desert # 1
Dan Roush:
-Beat Robert Putnam** in a bicycle race to the end of the drive way. Age 12
-Owns a “world best dad” coffee mug
-Is usually in the top three at the buffet, with many #1’s.
** Mr. Putnam demands a rematch due to his alleged flat tire.

Breakenridge Glacier in the background.
At the end of our ride Ty borrowed the bikes and picked up the babes in typical Hill fashion.

Eric has already discovered that the quality of Guiness goes down the farther you get from the source, and is complaining. To alleviate his complaints, we are off to the old country next week on Eric's first major adventure. Stay tuned for stories of Wee Eric, going into the Charlie to see if Mick really did leave a pint behind the bar for him or if it was all a pack of lies. Emily is very excited about going to a castle and being a princess for real.
Cheers
