Christmas Prep

I was planning on doing daily updates for the last 10 days before Christmas. I figured with all the stuff going on, I would be able to come up with some good material. Nope. With all the stuff going on I am knackered, and brain dead. The good news is the Christmas preparations are going well. The house is lit, the tree is trimmed, and dying quickly due to a long lapse in the watering schedule.
Essential provisions have been laid in for the long cold winter ahead.
Lists have been made. Connor and Emily's school pagent has been attended. The baking is done. Well actually Kim has just finished it up. I have been providing mission critical support in the form of tasting and finger poking in the batter. Butter tarts can be very tricky and so I recommended that every 4th one be tested for quality. Sort of a 6 Sigma program in the kitchen. The results were outstanding, and I take full credit!
Wee Eric is ready as well.
He even went for a Santa photo today. My Scanner is in the same condition as Mick's Scales so I took a picture of the picture. Rather than photoshop the flash or shadows, I hope to get a scan soon.
Kim is finishing writing the last Christmas card as I write this. I decided that since I have a database it should be a breeze to automatically print the 50 envelopes with the addresses directly. Eight hours and 20 test envelopes later, they are printed, and Kim is thoroughly impressed with my ability to save time. I also discovered that Photoshop needs a spell check. Let me rephrase that, I need a photoshop with a spell check. I laid out the photo for our card, sent it into London Drugs, drove over, checked it out, adjusted my cropping and resolution, and printed 50. I proudly presented them to Kim, where upon she asked, "Isn't Safe spelled with a "S"?". Poop! I guess we can send the ones with the spelling mistakes to people we don't like. The people we like even less than the people who get the ones with the spelling mistakes, can check back here in a week or so, and see what our card looks like.
Brent, Steve and I are heading off for a sled ride on Friday, if we get stuff fixed in time. Just a reminder that 1:00 pm Dec 24 would be a good time to meet at the Wheelhouse Pub.
Cheers
Bryan
