New Year Adventure Update

For The New Year celebration we all headed off to the cabin, along with Brenda, Jerry, Maygen, Caitlin, Brent, Allison, Jason and Tyler. As with any good adventure a fair bit of work was required. Three feet of snow had fallen at the cabin over Christmas, so the roads were slightly challenging.

Several trips were made ferrying people and equipment (new couch and sleds) which were soon put to good use.

Brent and Kim took Brenda and Jerry on a ride to the falls. Henry and Lionel came along just to prove a big sled wasn't required for travel.

After they got back we took Ali out for a ride, but she was going so fast we couldn't capture her with the camera until the next day, when she was stylishly attired in retro vintage '80s gear, riding a '80 Citation which has been hopped up with the SS Gear Box Kit. A real sleeper, for those of you into hot rod snowmobiles.

Even E got a taste of the snowmobiles, and the boys dug him a snow fort

Following a hard days sledding came the required post sledding cocktails, chilled with Icicles. Cubes are so passé, even if some people had trouble with the concept.

The cabin took on a warm cosy atmosphere. ....and you thought the scenery outside was spectacular.

After the cocktails come the famous Hill Hot Sauce Flaming Prawn appetizers.
Grandpa Norm supplied the Flintstone ribs for the main course.

Heavy rains made the drive out even more challenging, but dumped snow up high for Brent and I.
Chalk up another successful adventure.

Stay tuned as a stripped down "E" entourage head out on another overseas adventure....

Cheers
Bryan
