All is well in the Cosmos today, the planets are correctly aligned, and the Hockey Gold Medal is back in it's correct place.
Ali sent me this picture taken at 11:00 pm Sunday Night, 8 hours after the game ended. Apparently the picture was taken by the Vancouver Police Crowd Control Unit.
This scene (although on a smaller scale) was repeated in every town in Canada, except for one town in Northern Alberta, where the power went out, and they didn't know the results. Had the game gone the other way, the same scene would not have played out in the US. In Oklahoma, I was hard pressed to find a bar that would show any Olympic coverage, due to college basketball games. We can relax and know that things are as they should be for the next 4 years at least. Thanks Sid the Kid and Ig
