Pisco Sour

There is a saying in Chile that if you have 3 Pisco Sours at lunch, the afternoon will drift by in a Pisco induced haze.
I remembered this as I was heading to the airport,

even though it was technically very late afternoon by the time I got to the bar, I figured it couldn't hurt for the flight home.
Cheers

So that is what that stuff was called. Thank you. I ran into this on a previous trip to Chile. I went to a party at someone's apartment. They were passing a 3 litre plastic milk jug of this stuff around. After a few shots, I was unable to figure out the word, but eventually figured out it meant "Hot Water". That stuff skips the haze and just induces blackness..

Sheila mentioned to me about your blog so I searched it out and this entry about Pisco Sour made me go through all the effort of signing up etc. A number of years ago now I worked for a company that ran a sulphur operation up in Iquique and I have many foggy memories of Chile and Piscos - a great blast from the past
