my blog

just bla..bla...bla...

setelah di sini gw banyak belaajar tentang adat kita and kebiasaan bule
betapa sadar nya and bersukur nya kita jadi orang indonesia

Of course your feelings are most important here. How you feel about your country and its people is fundamental to “who you are” and you are right to remember all the fun, the laughter, the family life, your friends, the food and the simple way of life. But god has placed you in Switzerland for another purpose. Let me explain.
I think there are 3 stages to a man’s life. You are at Stage 1, a young person soaking up new learning as if a sponge. Your responsibility is to learn as much about western culture as you can without forgetting where you came from. For instance, while you might think that all bules are interested in is work, you are wrong. Yes, some are. But most believe their job as adults is to make a better place for their children to go, hoping that their children will also so the same for their children. So they do work hard to afford those things they believe are important – like a good education and good health. While you have remembered many good things in your blog, do not forget Indonesia is a country where pollution harms your health and cuts your life expectancy, where justice is paid for by those who are corrupt and evil, where the water is not potable, where public transport is so bad that people would rather driver their cars for 2 hours to get home, where 50,000 villages are without electricity and all its benefits. These problems have been overcome by Swiss bules and others through vision and hard work.
So where do you come in? You are expected to learn about these “good things” about Western living and bring them home to Indonesia – so that you can help your community to overcome these in Stage 2 – using what you learned to lift your community out of its various problems. You bear this responsibility more than most because you have had the opportunity to be abroad.
Stage 3 is where I am. That’s where you are relatively satisfied that you have helped your local community and country. But now is the time to once again go abroad and help those countries which are still stuck where Indonesia is today…… that is, help your fellow man grow and become wealthy in their health and their knowledge.
You are young and strong. You can do this, I know. Just remember that a dream without action is still a dream. Hope must be followed with concrete action. Action without a dream is just being busy.
May god bless your future.

hi .... Hickling I just say thank you for your comment, it is very interesting for me, first I would like to apologize for my late reply to a comment from you because I was a little busy.
I agree with your opinion about the west, but my stories about people who are around me that does not mean all such persons west. Of course, its the same thing with all the Asian people need to work for there life each for the family and as its I get a lot of life experience good or bad here. Certainly I will be grateful that I got, at the core of it all almost the same in human life but it is different only because of traditional practices. May be if you live in another country you will feel strange or with life in the country, and will do so in very interesting discussion with your friends, as I felt when living in another country the feelings of pride or even reverse it because life here is very different from the life Indonesian in the nostalgic feelings of the country itself will always have in my mind. The purpose of writing this I just want to share with my friends, not my intention to discuss the country's bad habits, this may just be that I write, I apologize if what reply comments from me does not satisfy you, but I just said thanks for your comments on my blog and for the support you give to me I also hope you do not become bored give comment on my blog thanks a lot and sorry for my bed English I hope you can understand it.

Hi Bzhot, tentu saja anda benar. Setuju pak.

I too get nostalgic for my country when I am away from it. I am nostaligic right now. But be sure, I love your country almost as much as mine. If I could (but I cannot) I would live here forever. Keep sharing with your friends. You are blessed with friends. Your English is much better than most and it may just be the one asset you take home with you that will help turn your life into the best it can be. Unfortunately, I cannot be part of it but I will always be a very, very interested spectator!!!!
