About me

I am an avid Bicycle Commuter, academic Library Circulation Collections Coordinator (I manage the stacks), happily married, and a story addict, no matter what the medium.
I use solar charged batteries for smaller appliances and try to recycle and use sustainable energy whenever possible.
Artist, writer, animator hobbyist as I've never been motivated or ambitious enough to be successful at these even though I have decent training in all of them.

So a job where I have access to information and can have enough time to work on my own stuff for pleasure has worked out into a nice balance.

Love films: classic, arty, foreign, indie and good ole horror.

Reading is a serious addiction of mine. No, seriously, it's a real problem. Working in a library helps some, but not totally.

More into visuals than sound, but enjoy both, and definitely enjoy creating visuals more. Love animation, cartoons, comicbooks, mystery and horror novels, as well as the classics.

Enjoy hearing about philosophy more than debating about it.

Why I choose the Opera browser

I've been using it since veresion 3 because it supported W3c standards, and because it was faster than anything else at the time. Now I like it because I can use just the keyboard if I wish, and I can use just the mouse if I wish. Also, I love the voice feature, which I wish they would enable in my Ubuntu GNU/Linux version, as it was one of my favorite features in the WinXP version. And it had tabbed browsing before Firefox.
