MADOTATE 3D DESKTOP

If you have been waiting for windows to release it's 3D desktop - wait no longer.
Many people have heard about Longhorn and its 3D desktop and there’s a lot of positive buzz around what it can do. The only problem is that as it gets closer to the release date, Microsoft pushes the date back.
If you want a cool 3D desktop and can wait no longer, then we have the program for you. It is a Japanese program called Madotate. The configuration panel was written in Japanese. Thankfully though, it has been translated into English. Plus, you don’t really need to access the configuration anyways. Madotate is extremely lightweight and consists of two programs. You just need to put one in the startup folder so it starts up as you boot. It is also very unobtrusive and only adds one icon next to your minimize button in the upper right corner of your window. Once you click, it will go into a 3D-looking minimization. Don’t worry about a graphics card. If you can run monitor then you can run this program because it uses almost no graphics power. So go check out the downloads section because that is one of the only places where you can get this terrific Japanese program. I am running this program with XP and have been for the last 4 months
This cool program can be download FREE at: http://www.softlookup.com/display.asp?id=26041
For a screenshot: http://www.ophtajpa.com/madotate.jpg
Next time we talk, it will be about another type of 3D desktop which will make everyone who sees it say "you gotta show me where you got that"
See you again soon & keep surfing

Anywho, the link you've listed is long-dead, but I did some digging and found the last version made, 2.02.02. The homepage, which hasn't been updated since 2003, is here: http://www.ksky.ne.jp/~seahorse/mtate2/
However, the version to get, if English is required, is here:
