КОЛЕДЕН КОНЦЕРТ

Музикантите от консорта Concerto antico Ви канят на празничен концерт с английска барокова музика. На централно място ще бъдат представени драматични и маниерни солови песни и дуети от две от най-ценните английски музикални старопечатни книги. Публикуваният през 1698 година Orpheus Britannicus (Британски Орфей) събира творбите на Хенри Пърсел, а екзотичните песни на Джон Блоу са издадени 1700 в Amphion Anglicus (Амфион е легендарен музикант в гръцкия пантеон). Концертът - матине ще се състои на 18-ти декември, от 13.30 часа в Софийска градска художествена галерия (СГХГ). В програмата са съпоставени две различни лица на музиката – като контрапункт на възвишените и проникновени мотети (духовни песни) ще прозвучат забавни и закачливи любовни дуети и качии звучали в таверните (тогавашните кръчми) в стара Англия. Виртуозни инструментални интермедии за лютня и клавесин ще повишават напрежението и настроението на концерта. Произведенията ще бъдат изпълнени по оригинални старопечатни издания и копия от ръкописи, а публиката ще има възможност да се запознае с драматичната и пълна с поврати поезия и музика от това време. Музикантите от консорта Concerto antico (български ансамбъл, изпълняващ старинна музика на копия на инструменти от епохата) са млади таланти, утвърдили се на наши и задгранични сцени: Миглена Павлова (сопран), Ивайло Донков (тенор), Явор Генов (лютня) и Янко Маринов (клавесин & бас).

The musicians of the consort Concerto Antico invite you to a festive concert of English baroque music. The concert – matinée will be held on 18th December at 13.30 h, at the Sofia Art Gallery.

The main part of the performance will feature dramatic and mannered solo songs and duets from two of the most valuable English printed music books. Orpheus Britannicus , published in 1698, collected Henry Purcell's works, and John Blow's exotic songs were issued in 1700 under the title Amphion Anglicus (Amphion is a legendary musician from the Greek pantheon).

In the programme, two different faces of music are compared – the elevated and sacred anthems are contrasted with lively and playful love duets and catches that were heard in English taverns (pubs) of the time. Masterly instrumental interludes for lute and harpsichord will increase the intensity and heighten the mood of the concert. The music works will be performed after the original editions and manuscripts. The audience will have the opportunity to become acquainted with the poetry and music of the time.

Concerto antico (Bulgarian ensemble performing early music on copies of instruments of the period) is comprised of talented musicians, recognized on Bulgarian and foreign scenes: Miglena Pavlova (soprano), Ivaylo Donkov (tenor), Yavor Genov (lute) and Yanko Marinov (harpsichord & bass).
