Typical, I've got so much I want to say I don't know where to start.

I guess the first thing is a disclaimer, just to get it out of the way.

This is not a real church. or any attempt to start one. Just a joke that developed a life of it's own. So don't take it seriously, I'm not.

Aside from that... who knows?

To (mis)quote Spike Milligan "If we don't have a plan, then nothing can go wrong."

Having spent my first 12 yrs attending Roman Catholic church every Sunday, I naturaly grew up to believe that organised religion has and will continue to be the root (read-excuse) of so much of the worlds evil in the name of the God of your choice.

And, although I agree their idea is really cool and very well done, ours really is like a little church/community however humble. If everyone in the world put down their guns and went for a walk, could you imagine ? :D

And I appreciate the honor to be a member of it.
I am more than proud to accept this invitation.

Obviously you evalutated me weird enough to
qualify as a member.

But there is one little thing – and I hesitate to
confess my secret:

- I hate walking –

Now that this is said, I have to prospect for an excuse.

Maybe you could forgive me when I let you know, that
I grew up in a time, when gasoline was cheap and for
that reason I got used to drive instead to walk.

I only can solicit you to forgive my weakness.
If not so – may be there is a chance that I become
a member “honoris causa” - a COTWG member h.c.

I plead for your benevolently consideration

That's a great idea W.L. Let's make a list, each day complete one task:

1. Walk out of the house to the road.
2. Walk down the street 25 m. and back to the house.
3. Take communion (cinnamon bun and Walking spirits)
4. Walk around block thinking happy thoughts about Elke's flowers
5. Don't drive for one whole day.
6.....what else?

Thank you all for your help to make my hubby as a walker.
I guess, it will be a Mission Impossible... :D

yoo hoo! this is going to be easier than we thought!

Mission: take him to a park. Make him walk a dog or something for a minimum 30 minutes. While walking, he has to take photos of a few trees and a few flowers. And if possible, that you be in the photos as proof!!! :D

Elke jumped right into the idea of pushing me.
- What a shame -
She made we work off item 1 to 3 of this
rude assignment list !
And this under the worst conditions you could think of:
rain – cold – storm – boots – oilskin

but, believe it or not, I made it.
But I claim the cheese cake right now.
Otherwise I will not make one more step away from
my keyboard.

(well Isabel, it will not be that easy as you might think)

I wonder, which kind of nastiness you will propose next
and how deep you can involve Elke into your conspiracy ?
