Wikipedia
The Claddagh Ring is a famous friendship ring originating from the Claddagh village, located just outside the old walls of Galway city in Ireland.
The Claddagh design, an original symbol of the "Fisher Kings" of the Galway town of Claddagh, Ireland, was first fashioned into the traditional ring in the 17th Century during the reign of Mary II.
Significance
The ring's distinctive design features two hands clasping a heart surmounted by a crown. The elements of this symbol are often said to correspond to the qualities of friendship (the hands), loyalty (the crown) and love (the heart).
"With my two hands I give you my heart and crown it with my love"
A Wedding Blessing
May the blessings of each day be the blessings you need most,
May the most you wish for be the least you get,
May the Lord keep you in His Hand and never close His fist too tight.
And a Wedding Toast (or two)
Here's to lying, cheating, stealing, and drinking.
If you lie, may you lie together.
If you cheat, may you cheat the devil.
If you steal, may you steal each other's hearts.
And if you drink, may we all drink to your happiness.
May you have love that never ends,
lots of money, and lots of friends.
Health be yours, whatever you do,
and may God send many blessings to you!
Irreverand
Best wishes for a lifetime of walking together

They will say their vows, and say I DO,
They will seal it with a kiss, and their life together has begun,
Forever bound, forever true,
Together through this journey of love,
They must learn to cherish, comfort, and trust each other,
Put their love, their friendship, in GOD above
Work together, day by day, help one another,
They work to build a life, a home, a family,
Together forever is their destiny,
Together in loves journey....

I have been travelling and missed the joined deadline for posting, why my contribution will be more discrete:
Dedicated to you Richard and Mrs. Sprogger:
Taken at the fortress of Charlottenlund, this is what marriage is about to me; growing old together in happiness and love overlooking the sea.
Take good care you both, I hope it were as beautiful and romantic as a wedding should be and my sincere best wishes for the future to both of you.

Almost brought a tear to our eyes.
Hirokichi uk- a beautiful photo with a message that brought a smile.
Volkuro - We will walk the line or ride it as the case maybe:D and a lovely message
Waka - cheers mate, a lot of good years ahead
Uwe - That all seems very familiar
Hungry - What a fabulous picture, interesting choice of book(HP). my mind must be going again I`m sure i could see a unicorn in there as well.
Irreverand(MJ) - As a Claddagh man myself this has a place in my heart, there is one more tradition involved with the Claddagh ring, when worn with the heart pointing toward your hand it signifies that your heart is taken, thus the heart is closer to your heart.
Elke - beautiful work, thank you for your wishes
Momable - We shall try to have a great life thank you.
Sanshan - It already feels like we have had a lifetime together, and looking forward to more. Thanks.
Wicked - Thank you for your words and wishes.
Duplo - Thank you for your photo, it is very appropriate. many times we have been by the sea looking across at the wind generators.
A special thanks to micky joe and sanshan for organising and posting these extraordinary messages
I wish I could express more clearly how much this all meant to us.
Thank you
