Too Long of a Wait!

It’s been nearly two months since I’ve posted! Way too long for you to be anxiously waiting for pictures and updates so my apologies. But as you all know (or will soon enough), we’ve been quite busy since the last post. And to make up for it, we’ve got TONS of pictures for you all to enjoy.
We went on a short vacation to Wisconsin and had such a great time. I enjoyed being back home and able to see everybody and it was worth it. But it was too short. I finally got to meet baby Zoe and got to be a God mom again
Elijah, on the other hand, wasn’t too thrilled with her. He did not like it when I held her, would not touch her, or even look at her. I guess I know what he’s going to be like when we have another kid. We went to the Brewer’s Stadium to watch the Brewers, and I don’t really keep up with baseball but they played horribly. I couldn’t really focus on the game because there wasn’t much going on. It was kind of sad to watch. We hung out with just about everybody, made cookies with my grandma, went bike riding for an entire day, had cookouts, and so much more. We were quite sad to leave, we didn’t want to come back to work and school and the humidity here.
Elijah has been completely potty trained! He doesn’t even go to bed with a diaper anymore. We get a little scared about that sometimes but the past week and a half, he has not once wet the bed. I guess getting him up at 6:45 every morning really helps. He’s been really enjoying the fact that he no longer wears a “baby” diaper and that he has awesome underwear that he changes almost five times a day. He is still a very spirited little boy, full of joy, and asks about everything.
Since our last post, Elijah turned three years old. We had a party for him at the Daycare Center and the grandparents came for dinner. It was a really beautiful day and Elijah just loved the attention, the presents, and all the delicious cake. He probably had three different kinds of cake that day. So, very happy indeed! And then it was Easter. We spent that wonderful time at home. Took a walk along Waterside and enjoyed the weather. We also hunted for eggs and all that jazz. I brought these Easter Egg Plants but they wouldn’t grow no matter how damp it was or how much light it was getting. Guess I’ll try again next year though. And we also figured out that Elijah is not a big fan of adults in costumes. He just doesn’t like it. The Easter bunny showed up at Daycare and he was just absolutely terrified of him/her. He doesn’t like meeting Santa either.
Elijah’s has learned his numbers and colors very well. He’ll get some mixed up and act like he’s right no matter what (he gets that from me haha). He’s almost got a hang of the alphabet, likes to jumble the letters around and he does a pretty good job of signing the letters too. He’s just growing so fast and I feel like I can’t keep up. Well, here are the pictures.
Definitely hope the pictures make up for our late, late, LATE post ![]()
XOXO’s from all of us
