Camp Fire Stories

sit down and enjoy the read

Hello There!

Hi there,

So I see you finally made it here! I hope you enjoy this one a much as the other. The reason for this change is we decided it was time to make a family blog; one where we can write about what's going on with all of us.

As you all know, it was Vail's birthday last week, he turned 26! Elijah and I made him his favorite cake - german chocolate cake and ate a lot of the frosting since that's the best part! We watched an old movie, had dinner with his parents and sister plus her guest. It was a good time, we ate out at Route 58. The food was okay, not a place I would like to eat at again. He got some pretty cool gifts - from Amber, he got this "How to survive in the wild" or something book, he definitely enjoys that. - from my mom, he got two Superbowl Packer hats, well, actually it's one now, Elijah has the other.

I'm sure most of you have heard about me being at the hospital. I would like to say that I'm fine, everything is going good. We are still bummed about it all but glad that we were able to get rid of it before it got worse. Other than that, I've been working hard in school and at work, I'm working on getting a Business Management degree, and that is better than a Administrative Assistant degree.

Elijah has been enjoying Day Care lately, he hasn't cried too much when I drop him off now and that's wonderful! He's been potty trained here at home and he's getting ready to start at Day Care. We had quite a scare the other day, he told a caregiver that his thumb was broken and refused to let her see it. After about 5 minutes of asking and getting him to understand that she just wanted to look, he let her see and it was just a cut. His skin was peeling off and there was no broken thumb. Whew! And I can't believe that he's turning three soon. He's so tall for his age and so smart. Always talking, always curious, and always wants to know what's going on. He's got quite an attitude too, loves to challenge anybody that gets in his way. And by challenge, I don't mean fight, he'll talk to you about getting his way and his way only. I'm so proud of him.

We had some great weather last week, in the 70's and 80's and sunny. This week, not so much, cold, rainy and cloudy. This is how the weather gets when the seasons change and you wonder why everyone gets sick.

Hope you enjoyed our first Camp Fire Story. Remember, come back to here for more of our many adventures to come!

XOXO
