On June 11th the eyes of the world will turn to South Africa to witness the most popular sporting event on Earth. We want to celebrate with a World Cup Speed Dial competition! This is a perfect opportunity to show of your design skills while showing support for your favorite team!

What to submit

The goal of this competition is to create a Speed Dial background to cheer on your favorite team in the the Football World Championship. So if you support the hosting nation's South Africa team, then you would make a South African football Speed Dial background. We want you to be as creative as you can, just remember that you need to hold all rights for images and logos used!

How do I win?

Submit your Speed Dial background to the album for your country of choice and whoever gets the most comments wins exclusive World Cup Opera swag. The grand prize is an HTC Legend smartphone, and it will be awarded by a jury consisting of Opera Designers Truls and Oleg.

Rules and information

The following rules applies for the competition:

1. All material used must be your own or you must hold the rights to use them. Please note that the World Cup logo is a FIFA trademark.
2. Join in as many categories as you like, but only one submission for each.
3. All entries must be submitted using the e-mail link found in the team albums.
4. All entries must include your My Opera username in the filename so we can identify you!
5. Only one comment per image is allowed.
6. Main prize winners will be selected by a jury of Opera designers. The main criteria are originality and usability as a Speed Dial background.

Prizes

The main prize is a Opera powered HTC Legend or any other phone of equal value. The prize is a available in the form of a online gift voucher.

The deadline for submitting is the 25th of June, winners will be announced the following week.
