Opera Campus Crew Blog

This policy replaces the previous points system.

All active Campus Crew members receive a certificate and a small gift at the end of each semester. The semesters run from January - June and from July - December. An active member is a member who has conducted an activity on their campus, promoting Opera, Opera technologies or tools, or web standards, and who has blogged about it on the Campus Crew blog in accordance with our documentation guidelines. We reserve the right not to reward blog posts that do not contain sufficient documentation.

Please note that the old points system is no longer in effect. You are still very welcome to run any of the activities mentioned in the Get-Started-Guide, but they will not be rewarded by points. We will reward and/or recognize activities that stand out according to the criteria outlined below.

As a general rule, we reward output, quality and creativity, for example for the most popular extensions or applications submitted from your campuses (reinforcing the broader community's recognition), for materials that Opera decides are good enough to be re-used in campaigns beyond the individual campus (naturally, with permission of the developers who will still own their materials), and we may reward particularly creative or inspirational activities that bring value to the campus.
