We are proud to present one of our Campus Crew members who has achieved Gold Level status! Maria "Frans" Rodriguez attends the Nursing program at the Notre Dame of Dadiangas University in the Philippines, and along with her fellow student, Hannah, she is one of the first female members of the Campus Crew to achieve to Gold Level!
A very impressive feat considering that they only joined the team for the first time in January. In addition, Frans was a winner of our "Be the First" initiative. Now we get to have a word with Frans and get perspective on what it was like being part of the Opera Campus Crew.

A few weeks ago we were fortunate enough to hold a special seminar at Opera HQ in Oslo, as part of the
company's university tour program!
Over 100 students from Oslo University College and the University of Oslo were invited to come to Opera's headquarters in Oslo for a talk about HTML5, CSS3 and mobile web development. Being a part of the marketing team here at Opera and a campus crew member, I was able enough to get the biggest meeting room available for the event, but even with that we had to raid nearby rooms for more chairs!

Today we have a chat with Risanto Darmawan, from Krisnadwipayana University in Indonesia who achieved Gold level status with Campus Crew for the July-December 2009 semester. Last semester he organized and spoke at six presentations, two Demo Days, co-installed Opera on over 700 computers in 30 internet cafes, and handed out flyers on campus. Risanto has always been involved in activities at his own university as well as helping out his fellow members at several nearby campuses, and this is his second consecutive semester as a Gold level member.

We almost forget to report one of our activity in October.
To celebrate one Year Opera Campus Crew (October 3, 2008) and our involvement in Opera 10 World series, we made an Opera 10 Quiz to Opera Campus Crew Indonesia group at Facebook
OCC Indonesia group at Facebook now has around 793 members that consist of OCC member, candidate, participant and supporter.
Facebook also a quite effective media to spread the word about Opera and communication media among OCC member.
Thanks to Annisa Putri (Opera Indonesia marketing head) for 3 Opera Moods of Norways tshirts as the prize, plus other Opera merchandise (pin and pens).
The Quiz was taken from Opera & Web Quiz Questions
And these are the lucky winners :
- Muhamad Rizki
- William Surya
- Asep Salmon
Prizes were directly sent to their home address.
Hope we could do this again in next semester and also with more prizes
