What are the perks of being an active member?

As an active member, you get to be a member of the worldwide Opera community and interact with people from your university, country and all over the world; you can gain skills like team work, event management, media relations, negotiation and presentation skills. And, most importantly, you get to learn more about Opera Software, the Web and new technologies, and help others do so, too! As a member of the Opera Campus Crew you can contribute to making the Web a better place!

We are thankful for all of you that volunteer their time and help spread the word about Opera and web standards! In addition to the benefits listed above, active members get all kinds of other perks!

• A certificate and thank you gift: At the end of each semester, active members receive a certificate and an Opera swag item as a thank you from our side! (The Opera Campus Crew semesters run from January until June and from July until December.)

• A personal recommendation letter: Active members that are about to graduate can request a customized recommendation letter from Opera Software!

How can I get active?

• The Get Started Guide gives you an overview of all of the activities and gives you tips about how to go about doing them. There's a variety of activities that you can choose from: installations, events, presentations, demo days, etc. You can also arrange an article about Opera in your campus magazine, or help make your school's curriculum more web-standards compliant.

• You are free to do any activity at any time, but you're also welcome to participate in one of our global campaigns. Our focus for this summer are installations of Opera in university labs and cyber cafés and we hope that as many of you from all over the world are going to take part! Click here for more information.
